In May 2017, President Xi Jinping delivered an important speech at the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation and proposed that China and all the countries should establish a peaceful, liberal, creative and civilized road. Under this circumstance, China-Italy Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum has been organized by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government and the Italian Ministry of Economic Development in Rome on June 14, 2017.
The official delegation included Secretary of Shanghai Municipal Party Committee Han Zheng, Italian Vice Minister of Economic Development Ivan Scalfarotto, Chinese Ambassador to Italy Li Ruiyu, CEO of Italian Foreign Trade Commission Piergiorgio Borgogelli, and nearly 170 entrepreneurs have participated in this forum. It is of great importance for both sides to explore and enhance the cooperation, but also a specific and pragmatic way to implement the initiatives of the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation.
As one of the co-organizers of this forum, CCUI contributes to the success of this forum. During the forum, CCUI signed the MOU with an Italian aircraft manufacturing company Alpi Aviation under the testimony of all the leaders and guests, which could promote bilateral exchanges and the cooperation in the fields of technology, science and culture by jointly establishing a cooperation platform of scientific research and global resources. Since then,CCUI has been beginning his own business in Italy.
